Holidays are the points in the year where fractures and brokenness get magnified. The truth is Christmas decorations usually don't cover up the brokenness that exists within ourselves or our families. My cousin who is a Greenville PD tells me that the 30ish day stretch from Thanksgiving to New Years is the busiest time of the year for them. Why? Because families who don't get along, get together, and many of you first hand know how well that goes. This fall we want to prepare for the holidays by looking at how God uses jacked up families for his good in his story.
